Our Story

 True North HR Consulting was founded in 2026 to give small businesses and growing organizations access to the same level of HR, payroll, and operational expertise typically found only in large enterprises. After more than two decades leading HR Operations, Shared Services, Payroll, Timekeeping, and Talent Acquisition for organizations of all sizes, it became clear that many businesses needed senior‑level support — but not a full‑time HR leader.


True North HR was created to fill that gap.


We partner directly with business owners and executive teams to build compliant, scalable HR and payroll foundations that support growth, reduce risk, and improve the employee experience. Kimberly Fraites is a senior HR, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition leader with more than 20 years of experience supporting organizations ranging from small businesses to global enterprises of 30,000+ employees. With over 15 years leading HR Operations, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition for large, complex organizations, she brings enterprise‑level expertise to small businesses and growing teams.


Known for her ability to stabilize operations, fix broken processes, and build scalable HR foundations, Kimberly has led HR Operations, Shared Services, Payroll, Timekeeping, and Recruiting functions across multiple industries. She has integrated more than 20 acquired entities, redesigned workflows for global teams, and partnered directly with CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and CPOs to reduce risk, improve compliance, and elevate the employee experience.


Kimberly brings a hands‑on, practical, and operationally grounded approach to every engagement — giving business owners the confidence, clarity, and structure they need to grow. She founded True North HR Consulting to bring enterprise‑level HR expertise to small businesses and high‑growth organizations that need senior‑level support without the cost of a full‑time HR leader.
